Innovation & Entrepreneurship Minor

Loyola offers a minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, an interdisciplinary field of study that offers significant opportunities for experiential learning through required cornerstone and capstone courses. Students will learn about the various functional areas of business and demonstrate innovative and entrepreneurial thinking through applying critical and creative thinking to ambiguous problems. They will learn processes to identify needs, manage complexities and ambiguities, and discern pathways to viable solutions, and then practice developing innovative solutions to societal needs through collaboration in interdisciplinary teams. All minors will be required to develop a comprehensive plan to launch an organization, implement a service model, or create a working prototype of a new product.

The minor has four tracks—Social Entrepreneurship, Creative Entrepreneurship, Tech Ventures-Engineering, and Tech Ventures-Sciences. The program includes courses from 11 different departments—Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, Fine Arts, 管理 & 国际业务, 营销, Math, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, and Writing.
